Dariba

Frequently asked questions

Why is my net pay different from my payslip?

Dariba follows the standard rules, so small differences are normal. The usual causes are an allowance your employer treats as exempt (or taxes) differently, a CIMR rate other than the default, a private pension or health plan, rounding, and extra deductions such as loans or advances. Use the Exempt switch on each allowance, the CIMR rate and the Other deductions field to match your payslip.

How is the seniority bonus calculated?

It is a share of base salary set by the Labour Code: 5% after 2 years of service, 10% after 5, 15% after 12, 20% after 20 and 25% after 25 years. Dariba applies this scale by default. If your contract pays more, type your own rate in the override field.

Are transport and meal allowances taxed?

Part of them can be exempt from income tax and contributions. Payroll guides citing article 57 of the General Tax Code report a transport ceiling of 500 MAD a month in town and 750 MAD outside it. The meal ceiling is reported differently by different guides (30 or 40 MAD a day), so check the current text or ask your payroll department.

In Dariba, enter the exempt part as an allowance with Exempt on, and any excess as Other allowance with Exempt off.

Is the 13th-month bonus taxed?

Yes, for income tax it is taxed like the rest of your pay. The Labour Code does not require a 13th month: it is owed only if your contract or a collective agreement provides for it.

Dariba works on a typical month, so for a yearly estimate enter one twelfth of the bonus in the Bonus field. The exact withholding in the month you receive it can differ, and public sources do not make clear how it is treated for CNSS, so check your payslip.

What is the minimum wage in Morocco in 2026?

For industry, commerce and services in the private sector (SMIG), the minimum has been 17.92 MAD an hour, gross, since 1 January 2026, up 5%. That is about 3,423 MAD a month on 191 hours. The agricultural minimum (SMAG) is 97.44 MAD a day from 1 April 2026. Check the decree for your sector.

Are the 2027–2031 figures final?

No. They follow press reports of the draft 2027 Finance Bill and are marked as draft in the calculator. They will be updated once the law is voted and published.

Is my salary stored or sent anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. The site only keeps two anonymous counters, with no inputs and no identity attached. See the privacy page.
